2005 • JUNIOR SEASON
MEAC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-MEAC for the third consecutive season… Sheridan Broadcasting Network (SBN) All-American… Second Team Sports Network All-American… Third Team Associated Press All-American… First Team VaSID All-State Team… started all 12 games for HU… led the MEAC for the second consecutive year with 1,326 yards rushing on 204 carries for an average of 6.5 yards per attempt… first in the MEAC in scoring with 19 touchdowns for 114 points… eighth in the country in scoring with 9.5 points per game… joined teammate Ardell Daniels in becoming just the third duo in I-AA history to rush for 1,000 yards each in consecutive seasons… his 1,326 yards and 19 touchdowns were the second most in a single season at Hampton… caught seven passes for 33 yards… second on the team with 1,359 all-purpose yards… had eight 100-yard games, finishing the regular season with six straight to bring his school record total to 20… moved into second place all-time at Hampton in career rushing yards (3,596) and career touchdowns (52)… named Offensive MVP of the New York Urban League Classic after rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns against Morgan State… earned MEAC Player of the Week honors on October 8 after rushing for a season-high 172 yards and a school record five touchdowns (8,3,8,33,71) at Gardner-Webb… had a career-long 80-yard touchdown run in the first quarter at Bethune-Cookman and a 5-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter to help Hampton clinch the conference championship with the 24-10 victory…finished that day with 163 yards and two touchdowns… seven multi-touchdown games… ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns (41, 16) on just seven carries against Savannah State… led Hampton with 12 runs of 20 yards or better, including four carries of 40 or more yards.
2004 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Named First Team All-MEAC for the second straight season after finishing second in the league in total rushing yards with 1,133 in 12 games… became the first player at Hampton to begin their career with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons… teamed up with backfield mate Ardell Daniels to produce the only pair of 1,000-yard backs in Division I-AA… rushed for 1,133 yards on 225 carries, scoring 13 rushing touchdowns and also hauled in 11 receptions for 98 yards and two scores… his 1,133 rushing yards were the eighth most in a season at Hampton, while his 225 carries ranked fourth and his 13 rushing touchdowns sixth… third on the team in all-purpose yards with 1,231 (1,133 rushing, 98 receiving)… opened the season by rushing for a career-high 209 yards and three touchdowns against Jackson State, earning him MEAC Player of the Week honors… his 209-yard performance was just the ninth 200-yard game at Hampton since 1986… two of his three scoring runs against JSU went for more than 60 yards, including a 62 and 73-yard run… caught the first touchdown pass of his career on a screen pass which he turned into a 38-yard touchdown against 15th ranked Western Illinois… also added 88 yards rushing and two scores against the Leathernecks to collect another MEAC Player of the Week award… posted seven 100-yard games on the season… ran for more than 100 yards in five of the six final regular season contests… caught three passes for 30 yards at Delaware State, including a 14-yard scoring reception… ended the regular season with 120 yards rushing on just 13 attempts (9.2 avg.) at Savannah State… rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown in the Battle of the Bay against cross-town rival Norfolk State, his second straight 100-yard effort versus the Spartans… recorded his fifth and sixth three-touchdown game against Jackson State and North Carolina A&T… had seven carries for 30 or more yards, five for better than 40 yards… had three-consecutive 100-yard games against Bethune-Cookman (126) , North Carolina A&T (106) and Savannah State (120).
2003 • FRESHMAN SESON
MEAC Rookie of the Year… First Team All-MEAC… Four-time MEAC Rookie of the Week… led the conference (7th Division I-AA) in scoring with 18 touchdowns for 108 points and led the MEAC in total rushing yards with 1,137… posted three consecutive games with more than 140 yards rushing, beginning with 165 yards on 20 carries against Delaware State… came back a week later and ran for 150 yards and three scores on his way to being named MVP of the Battle of the Bay versus Norfolk State… capped the three-game explosion with 28 carries for 141 yards and two touchdowns in a homecoming contest against South Carolina State… scored at least two touchdowns on six occasions, and scored three touchdowns in four different games… became the first Pirate rookie to rush for more than 1,000 yards… closed out the year with a season-high 168 yards against Savannah State… caught six passes out of the backfield for 12 yards… had 11 carries of 20 or more yards, including runs of 45 and 63 yards… scored all of his 18 touchdowns on the ground… provided Hampton with its only score of the game with a 2-yard plunge in the season opener at Villanova.
