IN BRIEF: Hampton celebrated Senior Day and closed out the 2018 season with a four-set loss to Presbyterian.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Hampton held a 19-18 lead before the Blue Hose took a 23-22 lead on a kill by Erin Cooke. Lena Washington answered with a kill to tie it back at 23-all though the guests recorded consecutive kills to take the opening set 25-23.
In the second, Hampton closed with a 6-1 run as a Megann Deelgado kill evened the match as Hampton win 25-16.
Victoria Jenifer tied the third set at 25-all with a kill but the Blue Hose took the next two points for a 27-25.
Presbyterian used a 10-2 run midway through the final set to win the match with a 25-20 fourth set win.

BEHIND THE NUMBERS

Lena Washington topped Hampton with 16 kills and 10 digs
Megann Delgado had 14 kills and 12 digs
Kyndall Nicholas added 14 kills
Lena Reed-Petracek had 49 assists for Hampton
Maja Petronijevic had 19 digs to lead the Lady Pirates
