HAMPTON, Va. (Apr. 23, 2026) … The Hampton University softball team heads to Buies Creek, N.C. to close out their 2026 season this weekend with a three-game series with Campbell.
Game one will be Friday at 5 p.m., while game two is set for a 2 p.m. start Saturday and Sunday's game three will be at noon from Amanda Littlejohn Stadium. All three games will be shown on FloCollege.
ABOUT HAMPTON
The Pirates head to Campbell after a tough 6-4 loss at George Mason on Tuesday afternoon.
Carmynn Bonner leads the team in virtually all offensive categories including hits (50), average (.413), runs scored (21), doubles (10), home runs (6) and RBIs (30).
Following her is
Riley Bohanon at .361 and
Violet Salazar at .310.
On the mound,
Ava Lester leads the team with a 5-6 record with 16 appearances, 12 starts and shares the lead in complete games with six.
ABOUT CAMPBELL
Campbell fell on Wednesday night to UNC Greensboro 5-2 as Charlie Montgomery finished 1-for-2 with a triple and run scored. Allyiah Swiney had a double and Haley Krebys recorded a hit and two stolen bases.
Montgomery leads the team in batting average (.424), hits (67) and runs (39). Katelyn Hubley leads them on the mound with a 15-3 record, 14 complete games and a 2.36 ERA with 117 strikeouts in 127.2 innings.
Campbell won the three games earlier this season at Hampton by a 40-2 combined score.

Bonner enters the last weekend of the regular season six hits from 200 for her career and one RBI from 100.
