HAMPTON, Va. (Apr. 20, 2026) … The Hampton Pirates softball team heads north to Fairfax to conclude non-conference play on Tuesday afternoon facing George Mason at 2 p.m. from the George Mason Softball Complex.

Hampton (10-29, 4-17 CAA) enters after dropping two of three over last weekend to Charleston. The Pirates won a 2-1 game in eight innings on Saturday as
Riley Bohanon drove in the game-winning run with a two-out single that plated
Leah Maduro.
Carmynn Bonner leads the team in batting average (.402), runs (19), hits (47), doubles (8), home runs (6), RBI (28), slugging percentage (.624), on-base percentage (.446) and OPS (1.070).
Following her in batting average is
Riley Bohanon (.344) and
Violet Salazar (.300). On the mound,
Ava Lester sports a 5-6 record with a 4.58ERA to lead the Pirates.
George Mason is headed by catcher Logan Pickford who is tops in average (.359), hits (47_, triples (3), tied for lead in RBIs (25), second in home runs (6) and third in doubles (9).
Hampton concludes its 2026 season with a three-game set at Campbell starting on Friday.
