HAMPTON, Va. (April 19, 2025) … Sebastian West and
Jonathan Angel had a goal and an assist each as Hampton fell 27-4 to Hofstra on Senior Day at Armstrong Stadium.
Drew Bogardus scored the first two goals for Hofstra (8-5, 4-2) as the Pride scored 12 goals in the opening period. Hampton (0-14, 0-6) got on the board with 4:16 left in the first half as Angel tallied his goal off a pass from
Elijah Jean-Jacques as they trailed 16-1.
West joined the goal party for the Pirates with 10 minutes exactly on the clock as he unleashed a blast to make the score 19-2. Hampton put up a second goal in the third period as
Canyon Steverson was on the receiving end of a West pass and found the back of the net to trail 21-3 with 7:39 on the clock.
Senior
Mamadou Meite scored the last goal for the Pirates with 3:38 left as he took an Angel pass and ripped one into the net for a 26-4 margin. The Pride scored the final tally with 70 seconds left from Topher Accetta for the 27-4 final.
Hofstra was paced by Anthony Mollica with five goals and four assists.
With his two points today, West moves into ninth place on the single-season points list with 19. He also is fifth on the single-season assists list with 12 and moves into 10
th on the career points scored list with 27.
Hampton will conclude its season on April 26 at Stony Brook in an 11 a.m. start.
