SERIES RECORD

Hampton went 2-1 in the home series against Charleston a year ago. For the Pirates, it was the first time in program history that HU won a conference series. ABOUT HAMPTON

The Pirates went 1-4 this past weekend at the Pirate-Spartan Challenge. Hampton began the multiple-team event with a 4-2 loss to South Dakota. Coach Tarvin's side started out day two with a win over UMass-Lowell River Hawks. HU got out to a three-run lead in the third frame. Carmynn Bonner began the inning with a single to the outfield. The Pirates first run scored on a fielding error by the River Hawks. Back-to-back doubles by freshman Myiah Sutton and Cassidy Lee brought in the final two runs of the stanza.
