GREENSBORO, NC – A 3-0 first period deficit proved to be the final margin as Hampton lost a 10-7 match at Greensboro College in men's lacrosse action on Sunday.

Elliott Johnson scored twice for Hampton (0-3), while Jonathan Napier, Derian Williams-Sturdivant, Michael Lawrence, Melvin Scott III and Josh Square each tallied one goal apiece.

Hampton trailed 7-5 to start the fourth after a goal by Johnson with one second left in the period.  The Pride bounced back with two goals in a 2:31 span of the fourth to get the margin back to four at 9-5.

The Pirates return to action on Monday at 2 pm hosting Westminster College (PA) at Armstrong Stadium.
