Rebecca Magett (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
Junior
Nina Ferguson (Plymouth, Minn.) drove in a run with a single up the middle in the fifth inning, cutting the Lady Eagles' lead to 6-2, before the Lady Pirates exploded for seven runs in the top of the sixth.
Senior

Margaret Wilkins (Tustin, Calif.), before Ferguson singled home two more runs. Freshman
Kerissa Burruel (Phoenix, Ariz.), in a pinch-hitting role, then doubled with the bases loaded to bring home three more runs.

Ferguson went 3-for-4 at the plate, driving in three runs and scoring once.
Coppin State took a 1-0 lead in the second inning of Saturday's second game, before the Lady Pirates tied it at 1-1 in the top of the third when Boykin scored on an error. The Lady Eagles regained the lead with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
Coppin State then scored twice more in the fourth inning to take a 5-1 lead.
The Lady Pirates mounted a comeback in the top of the seventh, starting with an RBI double from Burruel. Later in the inning, junior

Coppin State (18-19, 11-4 MEAC) led 3-0 after five innings on Sunday, but the Lady Pirates mounted a comeback in the top of the seventh. Byrd walked to lead off the inning before scoring the first run on a wild pitch, before Boykin brought home another run with a groundout to the shortstop.
The Lady Pirates then had two runners on base, but stranded them there to end the game.
Byrd went six innings on Sunday, giving up just two hits and recording a strikeout. Ferguson went 3-for-3 at the plate, while junior
