Jack Manning enters his second season with the program. Manning was an inaugural member of Coach Ivan Thomas’s staff. This offseason, he was promoted and given the role of Director of Basketball Operations / Video Coordinator. Prior to arriving to Hampton, he
 spent six seasons working for the Providence College Friars.

During his time as a Graduate Assistant at Providence, he worked with Kim English and staff. The team achieved a 21-14 record, won two games in the Big East Tournament, and made the NIT. The prior year, Manning spent time beside Ed Cooley and staff as the team finished 21-12 and made it to the first round of the NCAA Tournament. As a Graduate Assistant, he worked on skill development, scouting, recruiting, film, and logistical operations.

Before this, Manning was the Friars team manager. In his four years at that position, the team earned three bids to the NCAA Tournament, including a run to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2022 along with a Big East Regular Season Championship with a record of 27-6. Earlier in his career, Manning spent time assisting both Paul Cormier, former Head Coach of Dartmouth College Men’s Basketball, and James Cormier, current Head Coach of Cushing Academy Boys’ Basketball, in skill development, summer camps, and training.

Manning attended St. John Paul II High School where he was the captain of his high school’s basketball team. A native of Sandwich, MA, he grew up as a volunteer coach at local basketball clinics for elementary students.
