HAMPTON, Va. (March 20, 2025) … The Hampton men's lacrosse team returns to Coastal Athletic Association action on Saturday with a noon matchup at Delaware.
LAST MEETING
Delaware and Hampton faced off last season on March 30, 2024 in Hampton and the Blue Hens scored a 21-3 victory.

Mamadou Meite all had goals for the Pirates. This will be the third ever meeting with Delaware winning the first one in 2023 by a 19-1 count.

Christian Stringer leading the way with four apiece. The eight goals were the second most in a game for Hampton this year only trailing the nine scored in a 13-9 loss to Iona in February.
Sebastian West leads the team with four goals and nine assists for 13 points. His nine assists currently are tied for sixth on the all-time single season list. Knox has a team best 10 goals and one assist for 11 points. His 10 goals are approaching the all-time single season top 10 list as he's three away from tying Kendall Sapp (2019) and Jordan Brown (2019) for that spot.
The Pirates have scored two man down goals this season which is tops in the Coastal Athletic Association. Hampton's man down defense is ranked 29
th nationally stopping opponents 64.1% of the time.
ABOUT DELAWARE
Delaware hits the home field again on Saturday after a 12-10 win over Marist on Wednesday night. Brendan Powers scored five goals, including a hat trick in the first half, and Bennett Parmer added two goals and two assists for the Blue Hens.
Powers leads the team, and is tied for second in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), with 20 goals scored. John McCurry is next with 11 goals, while Parmer has nine with a team best 10 assists.
Kevin Ellington is tied for fifth in the CAA in save percentage at .532 in net.
