(January 9, 2025) … The Hampton University women's basketball team will start a two-game swing through North Carolina on Friday as they visit Elon at the Schar Center on January 10 at 5 p.m. They'll then visit Campbell for a 2 p.m. match on Sunday, January 10 at Gore Arena in Buies Creek.
SERIES VS. ELON
Elon holds a 3-2 lead in the all-time series having won the last meeting 69-51 at Hampton on February 9, 2024. These teams have played twice since Hampton joined the CAA and each team has won on the road. Hampton scored a 57-54 win at Elon on January 1, 2023.
SERIES VS. CAMPBELL
Campbell holds a 6-2 advantage in the all-time series with Hampton. These teams first met when both were in the Big South Conference in 2019. The Camels have won the last three matchups, including a 70-61 win at Hampton on March 9, 2024. Hampton's last win over the Camels came on March 4, 2020, at Campbell, a 49-40 victory.

The Lady Pirates are back on the road after dropping a 75-48 decision to N.C. A&T on Sunday at home.
Jasha Clinton scored 18 points to lead Hampton in the contest.
Clinton leads the team in scoring (16 ppg) and steals (2.4 spg).
Jenae Dublin is next at 8.9 points per game and a team leading 5.5 rebounds per contest.
CeCe Thomas is right behind her at 8.8 points per game and second on the team in assists at 2.4 per game.

Elon starts a three-game homestand with the matchup against Hampton on Friday night. The Phoenix are coming off a 1-1 weekend last week when they lost at N.C. A&T (57-40) and defeated William & Mary in OT (70-66) on the road.
Raven Preston leads the team in scoring (12.4 ppg), rebounding (9.8 RPG), and steals (2.2 SPG). Laila Anderson is next in scoring (10 ppg). Jayda Angel is just behind them at 9.8 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game.

Campbell also starts a three-game homestand with its contest against Hampton on Sunday. The Fighting Camels lost their first two CAA games on the road dropping contests at UNCW (67-61) and College of Charleston (78-63).
Gianni Boone leads Campbell in scoring averaging 11.1 points and is tied for second in rebounding at 4.6 rpg. Five players are averaging between seven and nine points per game with Olivia Tucker (9.9 ppg) and Courtney Dahlquist (9.1 ppg) pushing Boone.
Gemma Nunez is tops in the CAA in assist/turnover ratio (1.84), assists (79), assists per game (5.6 apg), and steals (32). As a team, they lead the league in three-point attempts per game (25.0) and second in three-pointers made per game (6.9) and fewest turnovers per game (14.7).
