HAMPTON, Va. (January 18, 2025) … Coming off a tough loss to Delaware on Friday night, the Hampton University women's basketball team will host the Drexel Dragons on Sunday inside the HU Convocation Center at 2 p.m.
SERIES VS. DREXEL
Drexel holds a 3-2 lead in the all-time series after its 72-57 win last season in Philadelphia over Hampton. The Pirates won the first two meetings at Drexel, including the first NCAA Division I era post-season victory defeating Drexel 45-42 in the WNIT Tournament on March 19, 2015.

Hampton returns to action after dropping a 79-69 decision to Delaware on Friday night. The Blue Hens held a 22-point lead early in the third quarter, but Hampton trimmed the deficit to seven at 73-66 following an
Arlisha Boston three-pointer though they couldn't get any closer.
Aisha Dabo had her second double-double of the year with career-highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Boston celebrated her birthday by matching her career-high with 11 points and
Jasha Clinton added 10.
Clinton leads the team in scoring averaging 14.8 points per game, while
CeCe Thomas is next (7.8 ppg), followed by
Jenae Dublin at 7.3 points and a team-best 5.1 rebounds per game and then Dabo at 7.0 ppg.

Drexel heads to Hampton on the heels of a 64-57 loss to league-leading North Carolina A&T on Friday night. The Dragons held a 42-41 lead heading into the fourth quarter, but saw the hosts come back to take the win.
Amaris Baker had 33 points to lead Drexel, while Cara McCormack had six points, three rebounds and three assists in the loss.
Baker leads the team in scoring averaging 18.4 points per game and adds 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest. Deja Evans follows at 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while Chloe Hodges chips in at 7.9 points per game and leads in assists at 4.2 per game.
