HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 24, 2024) … The Hampton University women's basketball team hits the home floor inside the HU Convocation Center on Monday night when they host Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m. on First Responders Night. All area Fist Responders who show up in uniform or present their badge/ID can purchase tickets for $2.

The Lady Pirates enter the contest coming off a 94-45 loss at Vanderbilt on Wednesday night.
Jenae Dublin scored 12 points and had six rebounds, while
Aisha Dabo added 12 points and four boards to lead Hampton.
In a first period that saw nine ties and five lead changes, Hampton tied the game at 21 on a Dublin layup with 19 seconds left. Dublin had the opening bucket of the second quarter as her jumper 17 seconds in evened the contest at 23-all. Vandy scored the next 17 points to gain control.
Jasha Clinton leads the Lady Pirates in scoring at 12.3 points per game, while Dabo is next at 9.3 points and a team-high 5.8 rebounds per game.
CeCe Thomas adds 9.0 points per game and a team-best 3.5 assists per contest.
Clinton ranks 15
th in the CAA in scoring and Dabo is 18
th in rebounding. Defensively, Hampton is holding opponents to .284 from 3-point range to rank fourth in the league and are also fourth in steals averaging 9.25 per game.
ABOUT EASTERN KENTUCKY
The Colonels are on a two-game swing through Virginia and defeated Radford on Saturday 87-40. Eastern Kentucky used a pair of 22-8 quarters to blow the contest open.
Kaitlyn Costner scored 24 points going 9-for-10 from the floor, while Raphaela Toussaint had 13 points and nine rebounds. EKU hit 33-of-60 from the floor (55%) and held Radford to 11-of-51 shooting (21.6%).
Costner leads the team averaging 12 points and five rebounds per game, while Alice Recanti averages 11 points and also five rebounds per game.Â
