Today's contest was also Senior Day. The Pirates honored seven senior student-athletes during the pre-game ceremony. Â

Hampton drops to a 0-9 record on the season, 0-4 in conference play. Jacksonville University improved to 12-21, 4-0 in conference play.Â

The Dolphins got out to an early 8-0 lead in the first quarter with a goal from Marshall Mcguire to start their scoring run.

The Pirates saw their first goal of the game in the second quarter from
Andre Myers (Frederick, MD). Midway through the second quarter
Jayden Price (Pearland, TX) got in on the scoring action to give the Pirates another point.

Jacksonville led the Pirates 14-2 at the half.

The Dolphins would go on to outscore Hampton 16-1 for the remainder of the contest. The final goal for the Pirates was scored by Derian Williams- Sturdivant (Baltimore, MD).Â

Paxtin Powell (Bradenton, FL) put in a strong showing, recording 15 saves on the day for the Pirates.

The Pirates will return to action on Saturday, April 23, on the road in Lexington, VA, against Virginia Military Institute at noon for their final game of the season. Â
