NBC Sports Network To Air Hampton-Howard From Audi Field
HAMPTON, Va. -- For the first time live since 2015, the Hampton Pirates football team will appear on national television this weekend.
The Hampton-Howard "Truth & Service Classic", also known as the Battle of the Real HU, will be shown live on Saturday at noon on NBC Sports Network from Audi Field in Washington, D.C.
"This is a great opportunity for Hampton University and our football team to get national exposure with this game," said Hampton University head coach Robert Prunty. "More importantly it is ideal for the student-athletes that have the opportunity to participate. With the COVID-19 restrictions at various venues, this gives all of their families and loved ones a chance to see them on national TV."
Hampton was last on live national TV in 2015 against North Carolina A&T on ESPNU. The year before that they defeated Bethune-Cookman at home also on ESPNU. The Pirates were last on national TV in a 2017 win over Norfolk State shown tape delayed on ESPNU.
