The Short Story: Sydney Jackson drilled a penalty kick at the 88^th minute to score Hampton only goal, but it would come to late as the Lady Pirates fall to The Citadel 2-1 on a cloudy afternoon in Charleston, South Carolina.

A BEHIND THE NUMBERS

The Citadel had more corner kick chances 6-2
Maya Andrews made 4 saves for Hampton and Rebekah Smetana came on the second half and made 5 saves, while Kelly Brahmbhatt made one for The Citadel.
Hampton had eight shots on goal for the game, and were outshot 18-9 in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Citadel Logan Dix would score right out the gate off a corner Kick to put them ahead 1-0 at the 11:26 mark.
Almost 10 minutes later, Dix scored again with an assist from Hannah Roth to put The Citadel up 2-0 at the 21:51 mark.
After two consecutive fouls on The Citadel, Jackson would take a penalty kick to the back of the nets to cut the lead 2-1.
