Saw his only action of the season in starting the season opener at Western Illinois… had two tackles in that game, one solo and one assisted.
2012 R-FRESHMAN SEASON
Played in 10 games for the Pirates, making seven starts… had 20 tackles on the season, including 11 solo stops… had a season-high six tackles (five solo) at Delaware State on Nov. 10… had 1.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks on the season.
2011 FRESHMAN SEASON
Redshirted for the Pirates.
McGILL-TOOLEN HIGH SCHOOL
Played football all four years… was Honorable Mention All-Region as a sophomore… was named All-Region and Honorable Mention All-State as a senior after recording 97 tackles and six sacks… also played basketball as a freshman and sophomore.

Born June 22, 1992… son of Ketrina and Charles Benning… has one sister, Kaliyah (11)… nicknamed Trell… was featured in the Mobile Press… majoring in sports management… wants to be named an All-American before graduating, then pursue a career in which he can help kids become better athletes.
