ASHLAND, Va. (July 21, 2026) … The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced its 2025-26 Academic All-State team on Tuesday, and the association recognized six Pirates.

Every college and university, including NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, USCAA, and independents in the state, were invited to participate in honoring the top student-athletes in Virginia.

Nominees must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher and must be at least a sophomore. A total of 216 student-athletes from 36 schools were honored by the association.

Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in Virginia.
