HAMPTON, Va. (August 13, 2025) ... Hampton University head softball coach Cat Tarvin found her way to another championship again this summer in the Women's Pro Fastpitch League.

Tarvin, in her second year as head coach of the Atlanta Smoke, guided her team to a 7-5 win over the Orlando Monarchs in game three of the series at Kennesaw State on August 2. The Monarchs won game one by a 10-1 count, only to see the Smoke storm back to win 8-0 in game two to force the winner-take-all game.

This is her third title with the Smoke having served as an assistant coach for the then Texas Smoke in 2023 and head coach in 2024. The Atlanta Smoke went 18-6 in the regular season to take the top-seed and host the championship series.
