HAMPTON, Va. (May 13, 2025) … The Hampton University track and field programs start post-season action running Wednesday and Thursday in Greensboro, N.C. at the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by North Carolina A&T.
Field events start at 10 a.m. both days, while the multi-events start at 9:30 a.m. Running events begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at Marcus T. Johnson Track.
In the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association event rankings, the Hampton women are ranked 15
th in the discus, 29
th in the 100 hurdles, 37
th in the shot put and 53
rd in the 400 meters.
Last year in the CAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Hampton's women took third and the men finished eighth.
In the CAA rankings, the Hampton women lead the CAA in the 800 meters (
Jordan Mozie), 5000 meters (
Peninah Mutisya), discus (
Damali Williams) and in the 4x400 relay team. On the men's side, the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams are ranked third, while
Joseph Ernest is third in the long jump,
Floyd Tucker is fifth in the pole vault,
Justin Anderson is fifth in the 400 meters and
Deondre McIntosh is fifth in the 100 meters.
