Hampton Sailing Punches Ticket For Atlantic Coast Championship and Fall Conference Championship

HAMPTON, Va. (April 29, 2025) … As the 2024-25 season has come to an end, Hampton sailing has secured spots in two regattas next fall. During the 2025-26 season, the program will be competing in the Atlantic Coast Championship and has automatically qualified for the War Memorial Fall MAISA Conference Championship.

To qualify for the Atlantic Coast Championship, the Pirates had to be one of the top 12 teams in the MAISA. The program has not competed at this regatta since the fall of 2021. The Atlantic Coach Championship will take place over two weekends. The first round is set for October 4-5 and will be hosted at Yale or the United States Coast Guard Academy. After the first round of racing is complete, the top nine teams will head to Navy for the Atlantic Coast Championship, and the bottom nine will go to St Mary's (Md.) for the Atlantic Coast Tournament.

Hampton has not automatically qualified for the War Memorial since the 2021 campaign. The regatta will be held in upstate New York at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. The fall MAISA Conference Championship will begin on October 25 and conclude on October 26th.
