Hampton Sailing Set to Compete at America Trophy

HAMPTON, Va. (April 18, 2025) … Hampton University sailing is back in action in the America Trophy hosted by Cornell University.

This weekend's regatta will be the MAISA Conference Championships. The Pirates finished 12th at last year's America Trophy. Tyler Brown, Stefan Palamara, and Tommaso Ciaglia all competed in the previous year.

In their last time out, the Pirates finished 13th at the Truxton Umsted hosted by Navy. The Pirates B unit finished fifth in the competitive field. So far this spring, Hampton has finished first at one regatta. The Pirates won their first-ever team race at the Tom Noble Team Race. Hampton has also had strong finishes at the Habury Trophy, Hampton Team Race, and Azelea Bowl.
