HAMPTON, Va. – On a sunny Wednesday afternoon women's soccer hosted Big South Conference opponent Charleston Southern for their final home game of the season. The Bucs scored three goals in the first eight minutes of play and one in the second half to defeat Hampton 4-0.
Dakota Fiedler would score the first goal off a rebound to give the Bucs a 1-0 lead at the four-minute mark. Kayla Reese added a goal at the five-minute mark to push the lead 2-0. Reese would assist Lauren McDonald as she headed in her goal at the seven-minute mark to give the Bucs a 3-0 lead. The Bucs scored on a penalty kick by Kylie Doster at the 64-minute mark to seal the game.Â
Charleston Southern outshot Hampton 11-6 and was ahead in corner kicks 3-2. SeniorÂ
Maya Andrews recorded six saves for Hampton.Â
The Lady Pirates will conclude their regular season on the road in Buies Creek, NC at Campbell University Oct. 26 at 7 pm.
