HAMPTON, VA. – The Hampton University volleyball team will conclude their home schedule this weekend with a pair of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Northern Division matchups at Holland Hall.
The Lady Pirates will take on Morgan State University on Thursday night at 6 pm and will host Coppin State University on Sunday at 3 pm. This is a rematch of the opening MEAC weekend for Hampton (3-15, 2-5) when they lost to Morgan State in four sets and defeated Coppin State in five.
Hampton is paced by
Reeana Richardson whose ranked third in kills per set (3.65), senior
Brianna Lilly ranked third in assists per set (8.53) and freshman
Micah Leavell ranked sixth in attack percentage (.267). Sophomore
Kyndall Nicholas is also among the conference leaders ranked fifth in blocks per set (0.75)
Morgan State has been topped by Natashia Barker (2.65 kills per set), Keana Browne (2.29 kills per set and team high 39 blocks) and Haley McClure (2.13) along with Jasmin Hubbard who has had a team-best 190 digs this year. They enter Thursday night's match 4-17 overall and 4-2 in the MEAC North.
Coppin State enters the weekend with a 1-20 record and a 1-6 mark in the MEAC North. They're led by Bailee Jackson, who tallies 2.79 kills per set and  Guro Froberg who averages 2.25 kills, while on defense the duo of Glorines Rosado (3.85 digs) and Kennedy Curtis (0.63 blocks) spearhead that side of the attack.
