HAMPTON, VA. – The Hampton University women's soccer team starts a season-ending three-match homestand on Sunday afternoon when they face Delaware State University in a 2pm kick at the Hampton University Soccer Complex.
Hampton returns home with a 2-5-1 record after falling 2-0 on October 8 at Eastern Mennonite University.Â
Sydney Jackson leads the team in scoring with three goals and three assists for nine points in five games.Â
Terisha Simmons and
Jordan Crawford are next with two goals apiece.
Delaware State comes to town with a 3-9 record following a 4-0 loss at Penn on Tuesday. The Hornets are topped by Kayleigh Leschinski with two goals and one assist for five points, while Braxton Clark has two goals to share the team lead.
The Hornets won both meetings last year by 11-0 scores on October 11 in Dover and October 30 in the Independent Schools Tournament at Florence, SC.
