Nate Reid will work exclusively with women’s basketball this season joining the coaching staff as the Director of Women’s Basketball Performance. This will be his third year with the team having been with the athletic department as Director of Sports Performance and worked with women’s basketball.

Reid came to Hampton in May of 2024 after serving as a strength and conditioning specialist for Coach Kenny Payne’s basketball team at Louisville for the 2023-24 season.
  
Having earned a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science from Carroll in 2019, he was awarded his MBA from Carroll in 2021. In 2022, Reid received a master of science diploma in Sport Physiology and Performance Coaching also from Carroll.
 
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a USAW Certified Sports Performance Coach by USA Weightlifting.
 
Reid began his professional career in 2021-22 as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Carroll, in Waukesha, Wisc. He moved on to Lexington, Ky., as a coaching assistant for track and Olympic sports, later working with Kentucky women’s basketball team as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
 
Reid earned a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science from Carroll in 2019. In 2021, he was awarded his MBA from Carroll. In 2022, Reid received a master of science diploma in Sport Physiology and Performance Coaching from Carroll.
 
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a USAW Certified Sports Performance Coach by USA Weight Lifting.
