Khemani Roberts joined the Hampton Academic Support and Student Athlete Success staff in the summer of 2024. She came to Hampton after working as an academic advisor trainee at Arkansas-Pine Bluff from 2022-24. While working on her master’s degree, she also was a graduate assistant with the school’s track & field team.
Roberts began her career as an athletic tutor at her alma mater, Tennessee Tech, in 2019. She earned the Unsung Hero Award for going above-and-beyond the expectations of her supervisors.
Roberts served as an administrative assistant at Florence-Darlington Technical College from 2019-20 where she proctored placement tests and handled other administrative duties.
A standout track & field athlete during her collegiate days at Tennessee Tech, she holds school records in the 4x400m, high jump, and heptathlon. She helped lead Tennessee Tech to three Ohio Valley Conference titles under head coach Wayne Angel and assistant coach Whitney Fountain.
She also participated in the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Championships representing Trinidad and Tobago.
Roberts earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Tennessee Tech in 2019 and a master’s degree in 2024 from Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Secondary Education/Physical Education.
