Grasso comes to Hampton after serving as the head coach at the Knox School in N.Y. Jared has over 20 years of collegiate coaching, having last served as the head coach at Bryant University from 2018-2023.

During his tenure at Bryant, the Bulldogs posted a record of 79-67 in five seasons, having won the NEC in the 2021-22 season. During that season, Bryant won a program best 22 games, going 16-2 in conference play. Following the season, he was named NEC Coach of the Year. 

Prior to his time at Bryant, Grasso served as the associate head coach at Ione from 2011-2018. He has also made stops at Hofstra (2002-2003), Hartford (2003-2005), Quinnipiac (2005-2006) and Fordham (2006-2010). 

A four-year starter and two-year captain at Quinnipiac at shooting guard, Grasso currently ranks 22nd on the Bobcats’ all-time scoring list with 1,134 career points. He is fifth on the all-time list in assists with 404 and ranks fourth all-time in three-point field goals with 216. He graduated from Quinnipiac with a degree in mass communications in May 2002.

A native of Syosset, NY, Grasso attended St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, New York, from 1994-98. He earned honorable mention All-American honors as a senior at St. Anthony’s after averaging 23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists per game.
