Mensah Webb joined the Pirate coaching staff as recruiting coordinator on June 15, 2026. Webb comes to Hampton after spending one season at Keystone as a defensive analyst.
With more than a dozen years of experience, he has coaching experience on both sides of the ball. He has also served as an offensive coordinator defensive analyst, line coach, coached running backs, quarterbacks and tight ends during his career.
A native of Seattle, Wash., Webb earned a bachelor of science degree in Engineering from Clark Atlanta in 2002. He received his master’s degree in City Planning from Cal Berkeley in 2005.
Webb began his coaching career at Berkeley (Calif) High from 2008-10. He moved into the collegiate ranks at Contra Costa College from 2010-12 where he mentored quarterbacks and tight ends while serving as recruiting coordinator. Webb was co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach at Shaw from 2012-15 and Greensboro College from 2016-18.
After taking a break from coaching, he returned to the sidelines as offensive line coach at South Central High in North Carolina in 2023-24 and was a defensive analyst at Keystone College for one season before coming to Hampton.
