Hampton Places 13th at Riley Cup

NORFOLK, Va. (Sept. 14, 2026) … The Hampton University sailing team finished 13th at the 2026 Riley Cup hosted by Old Dominion University this past weekend.Â
The Pirates B Division led by Ivet Bejar and Micah Brandel, put together a ninth place finish with a total of 52 points in the race. The duo recorded a top 10 finish in the second regatta, placing seventh, while also finishing 10th twice.Â
Jackson Manley, Anyah Griffin and Isaac Faulkner led the A division, recording a team score of 84 points through five regattas.Â
Hampton returns to action Saturday, Sept. 19, when they travel to Williamsburg, Va. to compete in the Kingsmill Cup.Â
