50 Hampton Football Players Honored for Academic Achievement

HAMPTON, Va. (July 24, 2026) … A total of 50 Hampton University football players were recognized for academic achievement by the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) in the Spring 2026 semester. The Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll recognizes those football players who attain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
The CAA honored two Hampton student-athletes with High Honors with Distinction, seven achieved High Honors with 42 receiving Honors recognition.
The conference honors student-athletes for three different levels of academic achievement. Those with a 4.0 grade point average are recognized as High Honors with Distinction. Football players with a GPA between 3.7 and 4.0 are recognized as High Honors. Student-athletes with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.7 are recognized as Honors.
Football players on the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll must have attained a minimum grade point average of 3.0 during the designated academic term and been enrolled as a full-time student.
