BALTIMORE, Md. (Apr. 5, 2026) ... The Hampton University women's tennis team took down Coppin State 5-0 Saturday. 

The two sides split in doubles, with neither team earning a point due to both teams forfeiting the three spot. Samira Khazieva and Chelsea Chakanyuka won at the two spot 6-2. 

In singles, it was all Hampton. Serena Bryan won at the one spot 6-2, 6-4, while Toffee Ghorab (6-2, 6-0) and Chakanyuka (6-0, 6-2) won at the two and three spot. Khazieva won at the four spot for the Pirates in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 while Melis Sakiroglu helped complete the clean sweep in singles at the five spot 6-0, 6-1. Neither team had a player compete in the six spot.
