HAMPTON, Va. (Jan. 5, 2026) … Hampton University Assistant Men's Basketball coach, Kyron Cartwright has been named to the 7th annual Silver Waves Media 100 most impactful mid major assistant coaches. 

Cartwright has been apart of Head Coach Ivan Thomas' staff for two years now, and was recently promoted to the team's offensive coordinator ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. 

Kyron is a graduate of Providence College, where he was a four year team member of the Friars from 2015-2018. Since graduating, he has made stops at Minnesota Crookston, Providence, Georgetown and now Hampton.
