HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University soccer team hosted the visiting Bulldogs of UNC Asheville in a Big South Conference matchup on a gloomy Wednesday afternoon. Gillian Oyos scored the only goal of the afternoon to give UNC Asheville a 1-0 victory over the Lady Pirates.

UNC Asheville scored at the 35 minute mark on a free kick by Oyos in the first half to take a 1-0 lead.Â

Maya Andrews finished with three saves and
Nadia Bensarghin ended the game with three saves. Hampton will be back on the field Saturday Oct. 12 at 12 p.m., as they host the Eagles of Winthrop University.Â
