HAMPTON, Va. – Freshman Lena Reed-Petracek nearly recorded a double-double with 21 assists and seven digs as Hampton fell 25-17, 25-17, 25-11 to visiting Howard in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division matchup Sunday.
Reeana Richardson had eight kills for Hampton (10-16, 5-5), while
Kyndall Nicholas,
Lena Washington and
Micah Leavell added five kills each.Â
Maja Petronijevic had 14 digs, while
Kelci Dixon had four kills and two blocks.
After falling 25-17 in the opening set, Hampton trailed 15-5 in the second before going on a 10-5 run to trim the margin to 20-15 after a Howard attack error. That was as close as Hampton got in the second set.
Hampton returns home on Friday, Nov. 10 to face Delaware State in a key MEAC Northern Division matchup at 6 pm.
