Biography

2017-18 – GRADUATE SEASON
Appeared in six games on the season…made one start, the season opener at Rider University on November 10…saw 22 minutes of action at William & Mary on November 15…posted 16 points and six rebounds against Bluefield College on November 12.

2016-17 – SENIOR SEASON
Played in 28 games while starting eight...averaged 6.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game...scored in double figures in seven games topped by 18 against Chowan...hauled in 10 or more rebounds in five games topped by 15 at Gardner-Webb...hit 50% from the floor and 64.2% from the foul line...recorded a pair of double-doubles against Gardner-Webb (16 pts-15 reb) and Bethune-Cookman (13 pts-13 rebs).

2014-15 – JUNIOR SEASON
Appeared in 28 games, making 16 starts…averaged 3.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game…knocked down a pair of three pointers in a 14-point effort against Central Connecticut State…added six rebounds…scored season-high 16 points in come-from-behind victory over Monmouth…scored nine of his 10 points in the first 11 minutes in a win over Elon…pulled down five rebounds in back-to-back road games at Drexel and College of Charleston.

2013-14 – SOPHOMORE SEASON
Sat out the 2013-14 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

VANDERBILT
Played in nine games…averaged 0.4 points and 0.6 rebounds per game…scored two points against Alabama A&M (12/15) and two points at Missouri (1/26)…grabbed four rebounds at Arkansas (1/12).

WHARTON HIGH SCHOOL
Named first-team All-Hillsborough County as a junior and senior…was a second-team all-state selection in his senior campaign…his Wharton High School team was a three-time district champion and a regional finals runner-up in his senior season…earned three letters in basketball and was the team’s captain for two years…member of the high honor roll for four years and also a member of the National Honor Society.

Son of Michael and LaVerne Astroth…born in Heidelberg, Germany on August 16, 1993…has one brother, Ryan Latham and two sisters, Jamila Williams and Diamond Latham…brother, Ryan, played basketball at Elon…uncle, Joe Astroth, played professional baseball for the Philadelphia Athletics…cousin, Maurice Latham, played basketball at Campbell and currently plays overseas…grandfather, Bob Astroth, played football at St. Louis…career objective is to give back to the less fortunate…has worked at a homeless shelter and helped run food drives for the needy…favorite NBA players are Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose…plays the saxophone…major is business administration.
