2008 SEASON (JUNIOR)
MEAC Pitcher of the Year for the second consecutive season… First Team All-MEAC… VaSID Second Team selection… went 18-11 on the season with an ERA of 2.69… had a MEAC-best 129 strikeouts in 190.2 innings pitched… threw 24 complete games in 29 starts, including three shutouts… walked just 49 on the year… gave up 164 hits, 80 runs and 57 earned runs… hit .253 on the season, hitting two doubles, one home run and driving in 21 runs… hit by three pitches on the season… was 2-for-3 in stolen bases.
2007 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
MEAC Pitcher of the Year… First Team All-MEAC… three-time consecutive MEAC Player of the Week (April 16, April 23, April 30)… lowest ERA in the MEAC at 1.72… had a 22-7 record on the season… started 30 games and closed 19 for the Lady Pirates… pitched 182.2 innings, allowing 132 hits, 65 runs and 45 earned runs… pitched 136 strikeouts, the second best total in the MEAC after Howard’s Dale McNeal… was one out away from a no-hitter against Bethune-Cookman, beating the Lady Wildcats 7-0.
2006 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
Established herself as the Lady Pirates’ top pitcher… posted a mark of 16-6 with an ERA of 2.48… also recorded two saves… her 16 wins ranked fourth in the MEAC and she was third in ERA… allowed hitters to bat just .240, the third best mark in the league… led Hampton with 12 complete games and tied for the team lead with two shutouts… struck out 82 batters and surrendered 38 walks in 147 innings pitched… won four out of five decisions to close out the season… struck out a season-high eight batters in just four innings of work in a win over Maryland-Eastern Shore… tossed a complete-game shutout or her way to a 2-0 victory over Delaware State… also spent time in right field and as the designated player… batted .270 on the year with 12 RBI… five of her 30 hits were doubles… had six sacrifices on the season… was a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts… drove in a season-high two runs against Stony Brook in the UNC-Wilmington Tournament and against Liberty… had eight multi-hit games and also registered a six-game hitting streak.
ANCASTER HIGH SCHOOL
Participated in four sports during her time at Ancaster High School… received athletic letters in softball, hockey, basketball and track & field… helped guide the Lions to league championships in hockey and basketball.

Born Jan. 7, 1986… daughter of George and Susan Black… has three siblings: sister Krystle (24) and brothers Steven (20) and Timothy (15)… has a 2-year-old daughter named Alexis… majoring in psychology… plans to become a high school teacher.
