Padilha Finishes Third In HBCU Championships

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. (Sept. 21, 2026) … Rafael Padilha finished third in the Flight A singles division, as five Pirates competed in the HBCU Championships at the South Fulton Tennis Center. The Pirates finished seventh in the team rankings.Â
The Pirates put together a record of 6-7 in their singles matches, with Padilha leading the team, posting a 3-1 record in the event. Aryan Arora also made the final eight in the Flight B singles before falling in three sets.Â
In doubles, the duo of Ibrahim Carrington and Padilha put together the Pirates best record, winning their first two matches before falling in the quarterfinals.Â
