HAMPTON, Va. (April 1, 2026) … The Hampton University track and field programs will have a busy weekend as they're scheduled to run in three meets in Texas, Florida and Norfolk.
A group of female sprinters will head to Austin, Texas to participate in the Texas Relays starting on Thursday at the Myers Track and Soccer Complex. Another group of middle distance, hurdlers and throwers will head to Gainesville, Fla., to participate in the Florida Relays at the James G. Pressly Stadium starting on Friday.
A third group of Pirates will head across the water to run in the Norfolk State Invitational at Dick Price Stadium.
Rochele Solmon was named CAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week after her performance at the East Carolina Bill Carson Invitational after winning the discus and shot put.
