HAMPTON, Va. (10/26/23) – The Lady Pirates are traveling to Elon, N.C. to face-off against the Elon Phoenix in two matches this weekend.

The Lady Pirates fought hard in both matches against UNCW last weekend but came up short (0-3, 0-3).
UNCW Game Summaries
Game 1
Madison Clark led the Lady Pirates in kills with a season-high of 12, followed by
Maria Eduarda Rodrigues and
Rhisen Davis with seven each.
Kalyn Pierre and
Nadja Bulatovic each reached double digit assists with 14 and 11 respectively. Three different Lady Pirates smashed aces. Clark posted three, Rodrigues had two and Bulatovic one.
On the defensive side of the ball, Clark notched a career-high 14 digs.
Kylah Hunter and
Maria Eduarda Rodrigues both finished with 10 digs.
Rickelle Wescott and
Tyller Williams both contributed with two blocks.
Game 2
Maria Eduarda Rodrigues tallied 10 kills in the afternoon match while teammate
Madison Clark had six.
Kalyn Pierre posted her season-high in assists with 15. Rodrigues notched two aces and
Rickelle Wescott and
Kylah Hunter each had one.
Hunter led on the defensive side of the net. She recorded 14 digs which crosses 100 total on the season. Tyller Williams and Madison Clark both had two blocks.

Madison Clark leads the Lady Pirates in kills with 59 on the season.
Maria Eduarda Rodrigues has 58 and freshman
Rhisen Davis has 35.
Kalyn Pierre continues to lead Hampton in setting duties and has tallied 82 assists. Rodrigues follows with 50.
Rickelle Wescott continues to lead the team in aces with 15.
On the defensive side of the net, libero
Kylah Hunter has recorded the most digs with 107, while Clark has 63. Davis and Rodrigues have each surpassed 50. Wescott has provided the most blocks for the Lady Pirates with 26 followed by
Tyller Williams with 17.
Scouting the Phoenix (3-18, 0-12)
Mary Tendler is currently in her 21st season as head coach of the Elon Phoenix. She holds an overall record of 297-336.
Cameron Lanier leads the Phoenix in kills with 188. Teammate Sydney Love follows next with 167. Jessica Parker is the main setter with 471 assists while Ericka Link has spent time there as well with 341. Jordan Gower has posted 332 digs on the defensive side of the net which is 169 more than her next teammate. Caroline Berlekamp leads the team in blocks with 56 and Cameron Lanier has 51.
The Lady Pirates are 1-11 in contests against the Phoenix all-time.
