Hampton, VA– The Pirates dropped game one of this weekend's three game series against Radford on Friday at the Lady Pirates Softball Stadium.

GAME 1 SCORE: HAMPTON 1, RADFORD 4

Moss put the Highlanders on the board in the second inning with a triple down the left field line, scoring Poole for the game's first run. Moss followed up with the Highlanders second run on a sac fly. (2-0)
The Highlanders extended their lead 4-0 at the top of the third with a double RBI on a single to left field.
The Pirates responded in the bottom half with a RBI scored by Junior Kennedi Bedell (Columbus, GA) on a double to right field. (4-1)
Emily Workman Pitched all 7.1 innings for the Pirates, picking up the loss.

The Pirates return to action at home on Saturday, April 23, at 12PM and 2PM for a doubleheader against Radford University.
