HAMPTON, Va. -- Kendall Sapp and Leo Jackson, III scored two goals apiece on Saturday afternoon as the Hampton University men's lacrosse team lost 16-4 to NCAA Div. II Ohio Valley University on a blustery afternoon at Armstrong Stadium.

Jackson scored his first goal of the game with 68 seconds left in the opening period poking in a loose ball to put the Pirates on the board trailing 4-1. After give goals from the Fighting Scots, Sapp blasted in a loose ball for a goal to trim the deficit to 9-2. Barely three minutes later Sapp scored another unassisted goal with 42 seconds left as Hampton trailed 10-3 at the half.

Ohio Valley (2-3) scored the lone goal in the third period before Jackson took a feed from Jeremy Triplett at the 11:35 mark of the final period for the final goal of the day for Hampton (0-4).

The Fighting Scots outshot Hampton 42-23 and were topped by Steve Zolezzi with five goals and Branden Buck with two goals and five assists.

Hampton concludes its varsity schedule on Saturday, April 2, when the Pirates travel to VMI for a 12 p.m. start in Lexington, Va.
