Peninah Mutisya Named CAA Co-Runner of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. (Sept. 8, 2026) … Junior Peninah Mutisya was named on Tuesday as the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Co-Runner of the Week for Women's Cross Country by the league office.
Mutisya, running her first race since the end of the 2024 season, covered the 4k course at the Spider Alumni Open in 13:55.4 to win the 146-person event at Pole Green Park.
The Pirates finished seventh in the 16-team event hosted by the University of Richmond.
Hampton is next in action on Friday, September 18 at the CNU Invitational.
